New Repeater Needed
The old repeater on the Mayville elevator was becoming unreliable. It had been in operation since the late 1970’s. A new repeater was set up on the elevator no longer in used in Portland. This provided a higher elevation for the antenna and in a location were the club had good access. While club members accomplished the work, the master KC0SD had to finalize the setup.

Mayville Heritage Days
During Mayville Heritage Days the club set up a display of radio equipment at the museum (old train depot) and discussed Amateur Radio with those interested.

Summer Field Day June 28 & 29, 2025
Summer Field Day 2025 was a success. Lessons Learned were put to use and the overall operation was a lot smoother. The Location was in a camping area on the Elroy Lindaas farm. Trial County Sheriff Steve Hunt was on hand to get a firsthand look at what could be accomplished in an emergency operation. It was a good opportunity to check out the operation of the trailer mounted Beem Antenna. Chris KF0RUM had his fish house/camper setup, Chris W0NUL had his motor home, and Craig KA0EDD had a small camper setup.

Winter Field Day January 25 & 26, 2025
Winter Field Day 2025 is in the books. The Goose River Amateur Radio Club set up operations at the corner of Main and 4th Ave NE. A good time was had by the members. Operators included: C Bye (KA0EDD), C Kleven (KF0RUM), CT Stinar (KD0HUZ), C Davis (W0NUL), and D Flitter (W0FLT). N Bakken (KC0SD) and E Lindass (W0KZU) stopped by. Several Antennas were set and two stations were operated with many contacts made.
A big thank you to KF0RUM for the use of his fish house as a base of operations. Everyone was warm and comfortable.

For Winter Field Day we were able to add a beam antenna to the operation, thanks to KA0EDD and his skills.

The inside of the fish house was small but adequate. (Dave W0FLT, CT KD0HUZ, Norman NC0SD, ?, Craig KA0EDD, & Chris KF0RUM)
Summer Field Day June 29 and 30, 2024
Summer Field Day was held at the Willowood Campground between Mayville and Portland. Operators included: C Bye (KA0EDD) and D. Flitter (W0FLT). This was the first time in years that the club operated during a ARRL Field Day. The beginning of many lessons to be learned.
