Winter Field Day 2026

The Goose River Amateur Radio Club conducted Winter Field Day on January 24, 2026 @ 10:00 AM -January 25,2026 @ 4:00 PM. The experience this year exceeded that of 2025 in that we were able to complete more CW (Morse Code) contacts and had good luck with voice contacts. The club was able to make one RTTY (Radio Teletype) contact. The Club set up operation at the Chris Kleven farm at 191 146th Ave SE, Clifford, ND. This year we also had to visitors (new Hams) that are looking at joining the club.
1st HamPicnic (Hamfest) in many years!

The HamPicnic put on by the Goose River Amateur Radio Club was a great success.
Some comments by attendees:
Your club did a fantastic job at your picnic. It seemed to be well attended. Flea market was not bad for a first time in many years.
I thought the Hamfest in Mayville went very well. I hope the attendance continues to grow year after year. Perhaps more guys could be persuaded to bring items to sell as that is always popular at hamfests.
First off, thank you and the Goose River Amateur Radio Club for putting on the event. I used to never miss the event in the past. I had a very nice eyeball QSO with Elroy which is always great fun and very enjoyable. Seemed to me all went well in the time I was there. Thank You for bringing back the Mayville Picnic and I hope it does become a yearly event.
